Your everyday life
As a Solution Release Manager you will be overall responsible for Automation Solution releases consisting of vehicles, software, peripherals and services offered to Toyota customers. Working with several R&D organisations as well as support functions and third-party suppliers to deliver an approved Solution release. You will evaluate content, progress and scope of the solution. As the Solution Release Manager, you will together with other Solution team representatives and Release Train Engineers, Marketing team, Quality assurance team and Operations coordinate the development and release of the solution elements and secure the successful launch of our Automation Solutions.
- Plan, define and drive the releases of new solutions for Automation.
- Organize required programs and activities to secure a successful release and launch of Automation Solutions.
- Develop the budget and operating plan for Solution releases.
- Participate in program increment planning and follow-up in solution- and program agile release trains
- Work together with the Software and Hardware Development organizations to define realistic test scenarios and General Availability criteria.
- Release configuration management
- Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status including program risks.
As a person you have great communication and organizational skills, you can drive different departments to contribute to the implementation of the overall releases. You are a strong internal network builder and team player working with internal stakeholders and development teams. You are structured, analytical and able to grasp the big picture as well as give attention to details. To succeed in this position, it's important to be open minded and to promote continuous knowledge sharing and reuse of best practices.
Relevant educational background, Bachelor or M.Sc, as well as PMP certification or equivalent. To succeed in this position, you need to have 5-10 years of theoretical and practical project and program management experience as well as experience in risk management and/ or change management. A background working with technically advanced solutions in industries such as Logistics, Retail, Industrial Production or Consumer Goods is an advantage. You have a good understanding of release management, software development and agile ways of working. You are fluent in English, spoken as well as written and a great communicator understanding the importance of stakeholder management and broad information sharing as part of driving change.Do you want to know more?
